Previsualisation for 'Our Velocity' Video.
Director Nima Nourizadeh (Hot Chip, Lily Allen) approached me to produce previsuals for his music video for Maximo Park.
The shots were to be complex, non-stop runs on one camera control rig, utilising 3 takes on the same programmed circuit, whilst moving the band members around. I needed to produce the 3D visualisations to arange the band members and position the camera correctly on the crane. This included rigging the crane so that it only operated in exactly the same manner as the real thing.
After the shoot had finished, it was composited together with all the band members. It quickly went on to achieve number one status on the MTV2/NME music video charts.
