Iglu & Hartly - 'Violent and Young'

Directed by Henry Scholfield, this video required the production of 3d animation in a manga style. We were tasked with designing the lead character's full robotic suit, from the original design to final animation. Many other mechanical, surgical and robotic elements needed to be designed and built from scratch for sequences throughout the entire video, for a total of 14 shots.

We had to create original materials to set up the proper cel-shaded look. All of the 3d animation had to be carefully synced with hand-drawn 2D cels drawn by traditional animators and planned appropriately for the composition against 2D matte-painted backdrops. The video has been broadcast on MTV2 and 4Music channels, among others.
