Stylised motion graphics animation
In 2014, Telegraph Hill asked James to create a stlyised motion graphics animation to pitch for a fast-paced, quick-cut TV program for a leading energy drinks brand.
Numerous stylised elements were created in After Effects and combined with iconic web imagery and memes to create a wacky, edgy and satirical look at topical trending news reports. The two most prolific reports at the time being the acquisition of Oculus VR by Facebook and the rise in the use of the facial beauty analysis tool Anaface.com.
Data and Twitter metrics were provided by an analysis company and integrated into the animation, to show ‘The Noise’ behind a trending story and a few of the leading participants who helped to shape its spread across the internet.
Software Used: After Effects, Photoshop. Illustrator.
